Bio

Reapa was born on January 16th, 1988 as Corey Justin Miller in St. Louis, MO. He goes by the stage name Reap & Grim Reapa. The stage name Grim Reapa steamed from his childhood given by his family & friends. He was gifted the name as he would kill them with his lyrical abilities in their rap session. He later changed his name to Reapa dropping the Grim. Reapa is more than just your typical rap artist; he takes no mercy on his opponents by killing every track he’s on with a unique flow & delivery like no other.

Life wasn’t always ideal for the young artist. Reapa grew up in a broken home with no father figure four other siblings and a struggling single mother. His passion for music started early in life. He grew up listing to the late great Tupac, Z-ro, 8Ball, UGK and Jadakiss just to name a few.

He was inspired by how they could take their personal life experiences and express it in such a raw and real way that he could relate to.

At the early age of ten he started to write about his own life. Documenting his real life story gave him a tool to escape the reality of the real day to day chaos he was experiencing. By the age of 15 he was introduced to the booth and other rappers by his big brother DJ Hydro. A year later Reapa worked on his first project titled “Sucka Punched Vol. 1” with Dhursty Music Group also know as D.M.G. which later changed their name to Thumbz Down Ent. Reapa’s first recoreded song was titled, “You Got Some Beef?” Reapa would later open up for Young Jeezy in Mississippi with the group D.M.G. performing the hit song “The MO”. Reapa later recored three singles “Don’t I Look Fresh” , “Fall Back” and “STL Niggas” which also appear on his first solo mixtape titled, “The Rapture” on July 5th 2013. He later released smash singles ” Money Dance” and “We Gone Ball” which appeared on his sophomore mixtape “River Of Styx” which was released on October 31st 2016.

Reapa is currently rocking shows  and working on his third solo project. “The love for music is what keeps me dedicated and always on my grind”, Reapa says. While working on his next lyrical presentation Reapa is also working on his new label S.L.U.G. , Saint Louis Under Ground. S.L.U.G. will be covering a mixture of things from local artists in all types of genres and mediums. The hope of the platform is to provide a place to showcase a different side of St. Louis. Keep your eyes and ears open because as Reapa would say, “Hard work pays off so I’ll sleep when I’m dead.” So get ready world there is no signs of Reapa slowing down anytime soon on his road to stardom.
